About this fabric

The small-scale weave combines broken horizontal movement with subtle flecks of deeper taupe and grey, while the chenille surface gives the fabric a softly tactile finish. Made from 84% polyester and 16% recycled cotton, this 138cm-wide cloth is classed as Domestic upholstery grade. It is machine washable and carries Domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy. The restrained greige tone works as a quiet base when a room needs texture without a strong pattern or saturated colour.

How to use it

Use ALT4243 on sofas, occasional chairs or upholstered headboards in rooms built around chalky whites, warm stone and pale timber. Its cool-leaning greige depth also sits comfortably with muted sage, charcoal or brushed metal accents.

Use this softly mottled greige on domestic seating where its quiet woven texture can add depth without dominating the room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
