About this fabric

The fabric has an even plain weave, with fine horizontal and vertical threads creating a subtle crosshatched texture across the warm taupe surface. The colour sits between soft beige and muted brown, rather than reading as a cool grey, giving the swatch gentle depth without a visible pattern. Made from 100% polyester and supplied at 138cm wide, EMP502 is suitable for contract and domestic upholstery. It is machine washable and has domestic cigarette-and-match flame retardancy, with treatment available to achieve Crib 5 contract grade.

How to use it

Use this warm taupe colourway on a sofa, dining chair or headboard where its understated faux-linen texture can soften stronger wood, stone or painted finishes. Pair it with creamy neutrals and muted olive or terracotta accents to bring out its earthy beige-brown tone.

A warm taupe faux-linen texture for relaxed seating and practical everyday upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
