EMP505 has a dusky terracotta-red ground with the softly irregular surface associated with linen, giving the colour a warm, grounded depth. Its fine woven texture catches the light subtly rather than appearing flat.

About this fabric

This plain faux linen is woven in a muted terracotta that sits between red and burnt orange, with darker and lighter threads creating a gentle crosshatch effect. Fine vertical and horizontal lines, together with occasional slub-like variation, give the surface visible texture without introducing a printed motif. EMP505 is made from 100% polyester and measures 138cm wide. It is suitable for Contract and Domestic upholstery and is machine washable. Flame retardancy is Domestic Cig & Match, with treatment available to achieve Crib 5 contract grade.

How to use it

Use the warm, softened terracotta tone on an armchair, dining seat or sofa, pairing it with warm ivory, camel, walnut and aged brass for an earthy, quietly inviting scheme. The restrained weave also sits comfortably alongside boucle, wool and smooth leather.

A softly textured terracotta upholstery fabric that brings warm, earthy colour to seating and occasional pieces.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
