About this colour
This shade reads as a delicate pink-beige with a powdery, slightly muted finish, so it lifts a room without feeling sugary. On walls, #E8DFDC reflects light gently rather than bouncing it around, which helps it feel airy in brighter spaces. In a north-facing room it can turn a touch cooler and more dove-like, while in south-facing light the pink comes forward and the colour feels warmer and more lucid. It sits well beside pale oak, painted joinery in warmer whites, and upholstery in grey, taupe, or faded rose tones. In Eggshell or Soft Sheen it would also work neatly on woodwork, where the colour stays soft but gains a little more clarity.
How to use it
Use Axolotl in a bedroom, dressing room, or sitting room where you want a gentle wall colour that does not fight with patterned curtains or upholstered chairs. It pairs well with natural oak, walnut, and linen tones, and with woodwork in off-white or the same colour for a restrained look.
On a wall, Axolotl gives a room a quiet pink cast with enough warmth to feel easy to live with.
