Factor Fifty

This shade has a gentle peach-pink cast that feels warm rather than sugary, with enough beige in it to keep it grounded. On a wall it lifts light softly without going bright, so it can make a room feel lighter while still staying quiet. In north-facing light it will look more muted and slightly dustier, with the pink coming forward less strongly. In south-facing light the warmth opens up and the colour can read as a creamy rose-beige, especially beside pale oak, walnut, chalky whites or deeper plum and mulberry tones. In Flat Matt and Flat Matt Claypaint it will feel the most relaxed and enveloping, while Eggshell and Soft Sheen will sharpen the same colour a little for woodwork and joinery. It also sits well beside upholstered pieces in oatmeal, taupe, blush, cinnamon or deep berry shades.

Use Factor Fifty in a bedroom, dressing room or sitting room where you want a warm, quiet backdrop. It works neatly with painted skirting in off-white, or with walnut and pale timber, and it is a good companion to upholstery in natural linen, rose-toned velvet or deeper plum checks.
