At #BC917B, Northdown Drift has a warm, earthy undertone that pulls it away from sweetness and towards a soft terracotta-beige. It reflects light gently rather than brightly, so it helps a room feel settled without going flat. In a north-facing room it will look deeper and slightly browner, with the pink in it becoming quieter. In south-facing light the colour opens up, showing more of its rosy warmth and a little more lift. Order it with the cloth

A pot comes off the same order as the fabric, so the wall and the chair in front of it are chosen together. The making is ours: cut, sewn and fitted in our own Heybridge workshop, with Simon over every stage.
