Pudding

At #D3C2B2, Pudding is a warm, low-key colour that lightens a room without feeling pale or sugary. In north-facing light it can take on a softer, greyer note, while in south-facing rooms the beige warmth comes forward and the pink side feels more evident. It reflects light in a controlled way, so it settles nicely on large wall areas without becoming flat or stark. Beside natural linens, walnut, oak and painted woodwork, it feels calm and well judged. In Flat Matt and Claypaint it will read especially muted, while Eggshell or Soft Sheen will give the same colour a cleaner edge on joinery or cabinets.

Pudding suits bedrooms, dressing rooms and sitting rooms where a warm, understated wall colour is wanted. It works well with cream or stone woodwork, and sits neatly beside upholstery in taupe, oatmeal, faded rose or brown-based neutrals.
