About this colour
This shade reads as a muted pink-beige, with enough warmth to feel inviting and enough depth to avoid looking washed out. Its hex value, #CBAF9D, sits in the middle of the tonal range, so it takes the edge off bright light without becoming heavy. In a north-facing room it can cool slightly and look more taupe-pink, while south-facing light brings out its warmer blush and clay notes. On walls it sits comfortably beside pale oak, walnut, mushroom tones and softened whites, and it works equally well on woodwork in a more restrained scheme. In Flat Matt it will feel most powdery, while Eggshell and Soft Sheen will show the colour a little more clearly on trim and joinery.
How to use it
Piglet suits bedrooms, dressing rooms and sitting rooms where a calm, warm backdrop is wanted. It pairs well with linen-toned upholstery, dark timber furniture and painted joinery in off-white or deeper rose-brown accents.
A warm, muted pink like this gives a wall a calm, grounded softness.
