Chenille fabrics Fabric003

Prince Of Wales Marcassin presents a bold black-and-ivory geometric surface, with rectangular blocks changing direction across the cloth. The closely packed weave gives the colourway a crisp, graphic presence rather than a soft or muted appearance.

About this fabric

The pattern is built from alternating vertical and horizontal ribbed sections, creating a large-scale patchwork of stripes, checks and compact textured blocks. Its near-black ground is sharply contrasted by warm ivory yarns, while the raised chenille surface adds tactile depth and catches the light unevenly across each directional panel. This dense-looking textile is best suited to upholstery, particularly where the graphic structure can be seen across a broad seat, back or headboard. No composition, width or rub-test information has been supplied for this colourway, and no performance features are noted.

How to use it

Pair the black-and-ivory colourway with warm timber, ivory upholstery or pared-back charcoal furnishings. Its strongly directional blocks work especially well on a tailored armchair, ottoman or statement headboard.

Use this graphic black-and-ivory weave to give a tailored chair, sofa or headboard strong architectural definition.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
