Pin009 Ribbon Marzapane-Liquirizia

Trimmings Fabric001

Pin009 Ribbon Marzapane-Liquirizia combines deep liquorice-black and warm marzipan-ivory in closely spaced vertical stripes. The dense woven surface gives the colourway a crisp, graphic presence, with fine horizontal texture visible across the bands.

About this fabric

The design is formed from alternating narrow black and ivory vertical bands, with subtle irregularity in the stripe edges that keeps the contrast from appearing overly mechanical. Its tightly packed weave reads as firm and substantial in the swatch image, supporting its upholstery classification. The black is deep rather than softened grey, while the ivory has a warm biscuit quality that prevents the pairing from feeling stark white-and-black. No composition, width, rub test or other performance specification has been supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use this high-contrast colourway on a tailored chair, bench or headboard where the vertical rhythm can remain visible. Pair the warm ivory bands with natural timber and the liquorice stripes with dark metal or black-painted details for a composed, graphic scheme.

Use the crisp black-and-ivory stripe to bring graphic structure to upholstered seating, especially against warm wood or pale walls.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
