Pin015 Lipcord Marzapane-Liquirizia

Trimmings Fabric001

Pin015 Lipcord Marzapane-Liquirizia is shown as a substantial rounded cord, twisted into alternating pale cream and deep liquorice strands. Its high-contrast spiral is especially distinctive against the dark background of the photograph.

About this fabric

The close-up reveals a tightly twisted lipcord with a pronounced rope-like profile and clear ribbed texture. Marzapane reads as warm ivory through the raised strands, while Liquirizia appears near-black with a subtle brown softness rather than a flat blue-black. Bright light catches the cream ridges and gives the cord a sculptural, dimensional finish. As a textile trim from Dedar’s Trimmings collection, it is suited to upholstery detailing where this bold two-tone edge can be seen clearly.

How to use it

Pair it with charcoal, espresso or black upholstery for a sharply graphic outline, or use the warm cream strands to pick up ivory, parchment and other soft neutral furnishings.

Use the cream-and-liquorice cord to outline dark upholstery, piping, cushions or tailored seams with graphic definition.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
