About this fabric

The brown tone reads dark and warm, approaching black in the deepest areas while retaining a soft chocolate cast. Closely spaced horizontal lines run across the swatch, creating a subtle corded effect rather than a drawn pattern. The texture catches the light gently, adding definition without bright contrast or shine. Supplied as part of Dedar’s Curtain fabrics collection, this colourway has a composed, tailored presence for full-length window treatments.

How to use it

Use Iris Fondente for curtains where a deep brown backdrop is wanted with more tactile interest than a flat plain cloth. It pairs naturally with warm wood, aged metal and lighter neutral upholstery, while its dark tone can also sharpen a pale, minimal room.

A near-espresso brown with fine horizontal ribbing for tailored, quietly sophisticated curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
