Jamu Jungle Pantera

Velvet fabrics Velvet001

Jamu Jungle Pantera pairs a deep espresso-brown ground with near-black, maze-like lines that interlock across the velvet. The close, angular drawing gives the swatch a graphic, architectural presence while the pile adds gentle tonal depth.

About this fabric

The pattern is formed from repeated stepped paths, squared turns and irregular labyrinth shapes, rather than flowing botanical forms. Black lines sit strongly against the warm brown base, creating a high-contrast design that reads particularly deep in the darker sections of the swatch. The velvet surface softens the geometry with a subtle nap, allowing small changes in light to shift the brown from warm chestnut to near-black. No performance features are noted for this fabric, so its use should be considered alongside the requirements of the intended upholstered piece.

How to use it

Use this espresso-and-black colourway on a compact lounge chair, headboard or statement sofa where its maze motif can be seen clearly. Pair it with warm timber, aged brass and plain textiles in tobacco, camel or charcoal to echo its rich, shadowed palette.

Use this dark, graphic velvet to bring depth and a softly dramatic finish to occasional chairs, sofas or upholstered panels.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
