Ikat Blue

Fabrics Fabric75

Ikat Blue presents an irregular vertical pattern of deep blue marks against a pale grey ground. Its broken, brush-like forms and subtly visible weave give the colourway a cool, graphic character.

About this fabric

The design is built from loosely branching vertical shapes, with darker blue areas broken by small flecks and softened edges rather than clean geometric lines. Against the light grey background, the blue reads as deep and slightly muted, creating clear contrast without appearing bright or saturated. The close woven surface is visibly textured, adding depth as the darker marks catch the light unevenly. No composition, width or performance specification has been supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Ikat Blue on a statement armchair, headboard or full-length curtain where its cool blue-and-grey contrast can sit against warm wood, off-white walls and restrained natural textures.

Pair the cool blue and pale grey with natural timber, chalky neutrals or softly aged metal.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
