Sunday Wall Antracite presents a deep anthracite-grey velvet with a softly textured face. Its near-charcoal tone absorbs the light at the edges while the fine surface catches a subtle, muted variation.

About this fabric

The swatch has an even, plain appearance rather than a visible motif, with a close velvet texture that gives the dark grey colour gentle depth. Anthracite sits between charcoal and black here, reading cool, subdued and distinctly urban rather than warm or brown. The low-contrast surface keeps the colour sophisticated and quiet, while slight changes in the nap prevent it from appearing flat. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use this cool anthracite velvet on a statement armchair, sofa or dining seat where its dark, softly light-catching surface can anchor pale stone, timber and brushed-metal finishes. It also suits a tonal charcoal scheme without introducing a strong pattern.

A deep charcoal velvet with a restrained surface texture, suited to contemporary upholstery and tonal interiors.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
