Evora bronze

Other Fabrics & Weaves Fabric

Evora Bronze is a richly mottled fabric with a bronzed brown ground and scattered flashes of cream, rust and blue-grey. The abstract, painterly surface gives it a weathered, layered look.

About this fabric

This Evora colourway has a warm bronze-brown base, lifted by broken cream highlights and irregular touches of rust red and muted blue. The texture reads dense and slubbed in the image, with a dry, woven look that adds movement across the surface. Catalogued as Fabric in Fryett's Fabrics' Other Fabrics & Weaves collection, it is shown here with no performance features noted. The overall effect is earthy and smart rather than glossy, with enough visual depth to hold its own on a statement chair or sofa.

How to use it

The bronze ground works well with walnut, aged brass and tobacco-toned leather, where the cooler blue notes add a subtle contrast. It also pairs neatly with chalky neutrals if you want the fabric's mottled texture to remain the focus.

Use with plain linens or dark wood to let the mottled bronze surface take centre stage.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
