Exbury Ochre

Other Fabrics & Weaves Fabric

Exbury Ochre shows a layered stripe design with a muted ochre-gold centre and softer grey-beige grounds at either side. The overall effect is warm but quietly weathered, with the pattern sitting clearly against the textured weave.

About this fabric

This fabric is 140cm wide and woven in 82% Polyester 18% Cotton, giving the design a neat, fabric-forward finish rather than a flat printed look. The 38cm pattern repeat creates broad vertical bands, including a central ochre stripe filled with an angular geometric motif and flanked by cooler grey and taupe panels. In this colourway, the yellow-gold tone feels softened and earthy, not bright, so the pattern reads more as an understated accent than a bold statement. The visible surface has a dry, woven texture that supports its relaxed character, while the tonal contrasts keep the stripe structure easy to read. Care instructions are BQV1<.

How to use it

Pair Exbury Ochre with oak, aged brass and flax-toned upholstery for a room that feels warm and composed. Its muted gold notes work especially well in spaces that need a touch of colour without losing a calm, grounded palette.

Use with warm woods and tactile neutrals to let the ochre stripes bring gentle colour without overpowering a room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
