Uppsala Teal

Other Fabrics & Weaves Fabric

Uppsala Teal is a small-scale woven stripe with a brisk, mosaic-like rhythm and a soft, tactile finish. The teal blocks sit against warm cream and sand bands, giving the design a fresh but grounded feel.

About this fabric

This fabric is composed of 88% polyester and 12% cotton, with a 137cm width and a 38cm pattern repeat. The weave reads as structured rather than fluid, with short teal and dark accent blocks broken up by pale cream, grey and sandy beige bars. Uppsala Teal feels cool and contemporary, but the muted, washed tones stop it from looking stark. The visible texture adds a lightly crafted quality that suits upholstery or drapery in equal measure, especially where a restrained geometric stripe is wanted.

How to use it

Pair this muted teal colourway with oak, chalky neutrals and simple shapes to keep the pattern crisp. It works well on an occasional chair, bench cushion or tailored curtains where the small blocks can repeat across the room.

Use with pale woods and natural linens to let the teal blocks stand out without feeling heavy.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
