Uppsala Rosso

Other Fabrics & Weaves Fabric

Uppsala Rosso shows a crisp, small-scale woven stripe effect built from short rectangular blocks in rust red, terracotta, oatmeal and taupe. The pattern reads energetic but ordered, with a textured, slightly rustic finish.

About this fabric

Woven in 88% polyester and 12% cotton, Uppsala Rosso has the look of a structured furnishing fabric rather than a fluid cloth. The 137cm width and 38cm pattern repeat make it practical for patterned upholstery pieces where the blocky stripe can run cleanly across cushions or seating. In this colourway, the reds feel warm and earthy rather than bright, softened by pale oat and beige ground tones and the occasional taupe note. The surface texture is visible in the close weave, giving the design a dry, tactile character with a casual, worked-in feel.

How to use it

This colourway works well with natural timber, aged brass and neutral linens, where the rust and oatmeal palette can provide warmth without overpowering the room. It is especially effective on occasional chairs, ottomans or scatter cushions in relaxed, layered interiors.

Use for a lively accent chair or bench where the warm red blocks can add texture and movement.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
