Tiverton Stripe Indigo

Other Fabrics & Weaves Fabric

Tiverton Stripe Indigo pairs slender indigo bands with softened pale ground stripes for a calm, tailored look. The woven surface reads crisp and gently textured rather than heavy.

About this fabric

This stripe has a light, airy handle that suits both upholstery and drapery, with a 137cm width and a 0cm vertical by 15.5cm horizontal repeat. The design alternates cool indigo lines with washed pale blue-grey and warm neutral bands, giving the fabric a quietly coastal, easygoing mood. Its 36% cotton and 64% recycled polyester composition helps the weave hold a neat, defined stripe while keeping the surface looking relaxed. The herringbone-like texture within the darker bands adds movement and a touch of depth without making the pattern feel busy.

How to use it

Use it on a compact armchair, bench cushion or relaxed curtains where the soft indigo can add structure without darkening the room. It works especially well with white-painted joinery, limed oak and sandy linens.

Layer with chalky neutrals and pale woods for a fresh, coastal feel.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Tiverton Stripe Indigo without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
