About this fabric
Made from 60% linen and 40% cotton, this plain fabric has the airy, slightly slubby look you expect from a linen blend, but with a smoother, more settled handle. The Eggshell colourway is not a stark white; it sits instead in a muted sage-grey range, with silvery highlights where the folds lift and deeper olive-shadowed areas in the troughs. With a width of 140cm and a pattern repeat of 0cm, it is an uncomplicated cloth that relies on texture and tone rather than motif. It feels easygoing rather than formal, and the visible weave gives it enough character to stand on its own in a room.
How to use it
Use Derwent Eggshell for relaxed curtains, Roman blinds, or slim upholstery pieces where you want a soft neutral with a cool green-grey cast. It pairs especially well with pale oak, chalky whites, and deeper moss or charcoal accents.
