Lux Boucle Charcoal

Plains & Semi Plains Fabric

Lux Boucle Charcoal is a densely textured plain with a dark, even charcoal surface and a soft bouclé character. Its tone reads cool and understated, with a subtle mottled depth that keeps the colour from looking flat.

About this fabric

This fabric is a plain bouclé with no pattern repeat, so the interest comes from the textured surface rather than motif. The 94% polyester and 6% cotton composition gives it a practical, tightly worked feel, while the 140cm width makes it suitable for a range of upholstery projects. In this colourway, the charcoal sits between softened black and graphite grey, with tiny flecks in the weave catching the light for a lightly heathered effect. The overall look is smart and restrained, ideal when you want depth without a glossy finish.

How to use it

Use this charcoal tone to anchor a sofa, ottoman, or dining chairs, especially alongside oak, black metal, or pale stone finishes. It also works well as a grounding neutral in pared-back schemes where the fabric texture should do the talking.

A textured charcoal that grounds a room and layers well with pale woods or crisp neutrals.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
