Eltham Charcoal/Jewel

Ashmore Wallpaper WallpaperBW45094.8

Eltham Charcoal/Jewel sets a dense chinoiserie-inspired scene against a deep charcoal ground, with colourful birds perched among flowering branches. Coral, ochre, teal and moss-green details give the dark background a jewel-like, animated depth.

About this fabric

The design combines twisting pale trunks, finely drawn foliage, scattered blossoms and perched birds, including vivid coral, rust, turquoise and mustard accents. Against the cool charcoal background, the warm flowers and plumage appear especially saturated, while muted olive leaves soften the contrast. Supplied as 100% non-woven wallpaper, it is 70 cm wide and has a substantial 64.5 cm vertical pattern repeat. The large-scale arrangement creates a continuous, immersive garden effect across the wall.

How to use it

Use this colourway on a feature wall in a dining room, study or bedroom where its cool charcoal depth can balance warm wood, aged brass and textiles in coral, ochre or muted teal. Keep surrounding furnishings relatively quiet so the birds and flowering branches remain the focal point.

A richly layered charcoal ground for rooms that suit jewel-bright birds, florals and trailing branches.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
