About this fabric

This 416gsm velvet has a richly layered colourway, with cool turquoise and aqua passages set against warm coral, orange, red and gold, while emerald foliage adds depth. Its 88.5cm vertical by 66.4cm horizontal pattern repeat gives the illustrated scene a substantial, large-scale presence. The supplied 57.7 threads per cm indicate a densely constructed cloth, complementing the visually intricate design. With a 136.8cm usable width, it is well suited to upholstered pieces where the full scenic composition can be positioned to advantage.

How to use it

Use this Ionian/Harissa/Emerald colourway on a statement chair, headboard or occasional sofa, balancing its vivid turquoise and warm coral accents with quieter textured plains in stone, charcoal or deep green.

Use the saturated turquoise, coral and emerald palette as a jewel-like focal point against plain upholstery or deep-toned timber.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Journey of Discovery Velvet Ionian/Harissa/Emerald without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
