Java Stone/Papaya

Fauvisimo Edit FabricHAF0069-01

Java Stone/Papaya pairs a softly warm stone-grey ground with a papaya-toned dotted pattern of symmetrical leaves, flowers and curling stems. The close-set ornament reads clearly across the swatch while retaining a calm, muted appearance.

About this fabric

This 624gsm fabric has a substantial presence suited to upholstery, with 52 threads per cm contributing to the densely worked surface visible in the swatch. The pattern is built from tiny papaya dots and fine lines, forming repeating floral and foliate medallions against the stone-grey ground. Its vertical repeat is 30cm and horizontal repeat is 32.4cm, giving the orderly motif a medium visual scale. With a usable width of 130cm and a standard length of 30m, it offers practical scope for coordinated upholstered pieces.

How to use it

Use the warm stone-grey ground on a statement chair, banquette or sofa where the papaya detailing can add restrained warmth without becoming bright. Pair it with chalky neutrals, natural timber and muted terracotta accents to draw out the colour in the motif.

A substantial stone-grey upholstery with a warm papaya dotted motif, bringing gentle colour and structured ornament to seating.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Java Stone/Papaya without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
