Kinina Mandarin/Fig

Fauvisimo Edit FabricHAF0208-03

Kinina Mandarin/Fig brings a painterly scattering of elongated leaves to an ivory ground, with vivid mandarin and fig-plum accents softened by sage, olive and taupe. The varied watercolour-like tones give this colourway a gently autumnal character without darkening the overall design.

About this fabric

The ivory background keeps the design fresh, while the leaves shift between warm mandarin orange, dusty fig-plum, muted sage green, olive and earthy taupe. Their irregular painted interiors and fine, curling stems create a medium-scale botanical repeat with plenty of open ground between motifs. At 300 gsm and 49 threads per cm, the fabric has a substantial mid-weight specification suited to both upholstery and drapery. The pattern repeats over 68 cm vertically and 137 cm horizontally, allowing the full leaf arrangement to be considered when positioning it.

How to use it

Use the mandarin and fig-plum leaves to enliven an occasional chair, bench or relaxed curtain scheme, then echo the softer sage and taupe notes in plain upholstery or cushions. An ivory surrounding palette will preserve the colourway’s light, airy appearance.

A light ivory ground balances the painterly mandarin, fig-plum, sage and taupe leaf repeat.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
