About this fabric

The colourway balances warm terracotta-red accents against desaturated blue, stone and soft cream, giving the design both heat and a cool, mineral depth. Uneven vertical strokes and narrow linear striations make the surface read like layered paint, with darker passages punctuating the lighter ground. At 236 gsm and 137 cm wide, this mid-weight textile is suited to both upholstery and drapery. The substantial 103.9 cm vertical repeat and 68.6 cm horizontal repeat give the abstract arrangement a clear scale when specified for a larger project.

How to use it

Pair the rust and ruby marks with walnut, aged timber or warm neutral upholstery, then echo the Nordic blue through painted cabinetry or ceramic accents. Used at a window, the pale vertical areas can keep the stronger red and blue strokes from feeling too heavy.

Use the warm rust and ruby strokes to bring depth to upholstery, or let the cooler Nordic blue and pale grounds read softly in curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
