About this fabric

The printed or woven-looking botanical trails are clearly defined across the cloth, with loosely scattered leaves and slender stems creating an airy medium-scale pattern. Its cream background keeps the colourway light, while the mandarin foliage reads softly terracotta rather than bright orange and the fig details add a muted plum depth. At 230gsm, with a 140cm usable width, this is a versatile mid-weight fabric suited to upholstery and drapery applications. The pattern has a 76cm vertical repeat and 70cm horizontal repeat, making the branching layout an important consideration when matching lengths.

How to use it

Bring Chaconia Mandarin/Fig into a calm room with warm ivory walls, or use it on a reading chair and coordinating cushions so the muted mandarin leaves and fig berries can be picked out selectively.

Use the pale cream ground to lighten seating, cushions or curtains, while the dusty mandarin leaves and fig sprigs add gentle contrast.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
