About this fabric

Shown here as a near-solid cloth, Montpellier Rosewood combines a warm rosewood-red ground with a fine, gently rippled woven texture. The colour reads as earthy and softened, with subtle lighter variation appearing where the surface catches the light. At 330gsm and 142cm usable width, it has a substantial mid-weight handle suited to both upholstery and drapery. With a 0cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeat, it can be cut without matching a motif, and the standard length is 40m.

How to use it

Use Montpellier Rosewood to bring grounded terracotta warmth to a sofa, occasional chair or full-length curtain, pairing it with aged timber, warm neutrals and muted brass. Its restrained texture adds depth without introducing a competing pattern.

Use this warm, muted rosewood tone to add earthy colour and subtle woven texture to upholstery, curtains or blinds.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
