About this fabric

Tanabe Silver is woven in a pale, cool silver-grey that reads almost misty in the photograph, with slightly darker threads giving the surface gentle depth. Narrow zigzag lines run vertically in closely spaced columns, creating a restrained geometric rhythm rather than a bold, high-contrast motif. Its 275 gsm weight and 151 threads per cm support a versatile mid-weight classification, while the 140 cm usable width allows practical cutting for either upholstery or drapery. The pattern repeats every 16 cm vertically and 23.5 cm horizontally, so the small-scale geometry can be aligned across panels or upholstered sections.

How to use it

Use the cool silver-grey tone to lighten tailored seating, headboards or cushions, or carry its fine vertical rhythm into softly structured curtains. Its quiet contrast pairs naturally with white, pale grey and other cool neutrals.

A cool silver-grey choice for tailored seating, cushions or softly structured curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
