Floreana Sheer Black Earth/Tranquility

Sheers 1 FabricHAF0515-01

Floreana Sheer Black Earth/Tranquility layers charcoal palm fronds, broad leaves and fine jungle stems across a pale translucent ground. In the photographed curtain, the cool grey-black drawing shifts in density as the cloth folds and daylight passes through.

About this fabric

The softly grey ground keeps this colourway light and atmospheric, while charcoal leaves and darker stems give the botanical scene a distinctly graphic depth. Palm-like fronds, fan-shaped leaves and delicate branching forms are visible across the full-height hanging, with some motifs appearing more transparent where panels overlap. At 95 gsm with 28 threads per centimetre, it has the fine, fluid character expected of a sheer rather than an upholstery cloth. The 300 cm usable width and 300 cm vertical by 133 cm horizontal repeat are well suited to presenting the large-scale composition across generous curtain drops.

How to use it

Use it as full-height curtains in a pale, cool-toned room, where the Black Earth drawing adds quiet contrast without closing down the view. Against white or soft grey walls, the layered charcoal foliage will read clearly while retaining the airy translucency visible in the image.

A lightweight sheer for full-height curtains where its charcoal foliage can layer against daylight.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Floreana Sheer Black Earth/Tranquility without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
