Botanical Archive Briarwood Fern has a light, airy look, with small tree-like motifs scattered across a clean pale ground. The embroidery gives the design a gentle raised texture and a fresh, quietly decorative feel.

About this fabric

This embroidered fabric is composed of 58% Polyester 42% Cotton with Embroidery, giving the surface a crisp yet tactile finish that suits soft furnishings and accessories rather than seating. The usable width is 129cm, and the pattern repeats every 32cm horizontally and 19cm vertically, creating a neat, evenly spaced rhythm across the cloth. In this colourway, the leafy motifs sit in soft sage green with warmer olive accents and slender brown stems, so the design reads natural and understated rather than bright. It is treatable for FR Drapery, dry clean only, with colour fastness rated 4-5 and no acoustic value noted.

How to use it

The muted green embroidery works well in calm rooms with limestone, oak, or painted white finishes. Use it for lined curtains, Roman blinds, or cushions where the small-scale tree motif can add interest without overpowering the scheme.

Use with pale woods and chalky neutrals to let the delicate embroidery read softly.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
