About this fabric

Peat reads as a deep, warm brown, with near-black shadowing and scattered taupe-brown highlights across the surface. A tight, small-scale irregular motif gives the cloth a softly flecked appearance rather than a flat plain. The visibly raised, fibrous texture and dense appearance make it a convincing upholstery choice, although no composition, width or performance rating has been supplied for this Fabric SKU. In changing light, the lighter fibres lift the pattern slightly while the darker ground keeps the overall effect restrained.

How to use it

Use Sloane Gardens Peat on a structured armchair, sofa or headboard where its dark brown depth can anchor a room. Pair it with warm oak, aged brass, oat tones and lighter textured textiles to prevent the peat shade from feeling too heavy.

Use this deep peat-brown upholstery textile to add quiet depth to tailored seating, especially alongside warm wood and soft neutral accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
