About this fabric

This colourway shows a tightly worked plain weave with a fine pebbled texture, giving the surface a dry, upholstered look rather than a smooth finish. The iron grey sits between charcoal and stone, with a softened, slightly mottled appearance that adds depth under light. Made from 52% polyester and 48% cotton, it is specified for heavy domestic use and has a 40,000 Martindale rating, making it well suited to hard-working interiors. It is supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, and professional dry clean in situ is recommended for care.

How to use it

Use Paolo Iron on a sofa, armchair or banquette where you want a restrained, modern base colour. Its cool grey tone pairs neatly with pale oak, black accents and washed linen shades.
