Palermo Charcoal

Palermo Fabric17

Palermo Charcoal is a deep, smoky grey plain with a softly brushed surface and a subtle tonal grain. Its dark, even character gives it a clean, contemporary look with just enough texture to stop it feeling flat.

About this fabric

Part of the Palermo collection by J Brown, this plain fabric is woven in 100% polyester and specified for general domestic use. It has a 25,000 Martindale rating, making it a practical choice for everyday upholstery, while the supplied back coating gives cigarette and match resistance to BS5852. In this charcoal colourway, the surface reads as a cool, near-black grey with faint lighter flecks catching across the pile. The finish feels smart rather than shiny, with a muted depth that works especially well on tailored furniture and hard-used seating.

How to use it

Use Palermo Charcoal on sofas, dining chairs or a compact ottoman where you want a strong neutral anchor. The cool charcoal tone pairs neatly with pale timber, off-white walls and brushed metal details.

A versatile dark neutral that adds depth and keeps seating looking tailored.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
