Paolo Anthracite is a compact plain with a deep, even charcoal-grey surface and a softly pebbled weave. Its darker tone gives it a clean, tailored look with subtle texture rather than shine.

About this fabric

This Anthracite colourway reads as a cool, smoky grey with a slight graphite depth, and the tight weave gives the surface a crisp, grainy finish. It is composed of 52% Polyester and 48% Cotton, and its 40,000 Martindale makes it well suited to heavy domestic use. The fabric is supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, and after care is Professional Dry Clean in situ, with further guidance in the pattern book. The overall effect is smart and restrained, with the texture becoming more visible as the light catches the raised slub-like structure.

How to use it

Use this shade on a sofa, headboard or dining chairs where you want a dark neutral that feels modern but not harsh. It pairs neatly with pale oak, black metal and off-white linens to keep the room balanced.

A hard-working dark grey that feels polished and easy to pair with timber, black accents or pale neutrals.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
