Checkers Anthracite

Checkers Fabric

Checkers Anthracite is a deep charcoal-grey woven fabric with a minute checked surface. Its closely spaced pattern reads as a softly textured near-solid from a distance, while the lighter threads become visible up close.

About this fabric

The small check is formed by tightly repeated dark and slightly lighter threads, giving this colourway a cool, layered anthracite tone rather than a flat black appearance. The close-up shows a fine, even weave with a subtly tactile surface and very little colour contrast between the checks. As a catalogued fabric from Warwick’s Checkers collection, it is presented here as a textile rather than a wallpaper. The restrained pattern and deep grey depth give it a smart, quietly graphic character.

How to use it

Pair this anthracite colourway with pale stone, chalky grey or natural timber to bring out its cool depth. It works especially well where a room needs a fine check that adds texture without introducing a strong contrasting pattern.

Use the cool, low-contrast check to anchor upholstery or understated window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
