About this fabric

This colourway reads as a mellow beige with a light biscuit warmth, lifted by the tiny woven texture visible across the surface. Made from 52% polyester and 48% cotton, it has the practical hand of a hard-working plain while still keeping a soft, fabric-led look. The 40,000 Martindale rating and Heavy Domestic usage make it well suited to everyday seating, and the back-coated finish is supplied to Cigarette & Match to BS5852. The tone is subtle rather than flat, with the weave adding a little depth so it won’t look stark in a room.

How to use it

Use Paolo Barley on sofas, slipper chairs or banquettes where you want a neutral that feels warmer than grey. It sits especially well with oak, rush, stone and muted green accents.

A warm neutral that brings a soft, easy lift to upholstered pieces and pairs neatly with timber tones.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
