About this fabric

This Osaka colourway shows a layered barley beige, with oat, sand and soft cream notes running through the surface rather than a flat single tone. The close-up texture reveals fine horizontal ribs and a lightly plush handle, giving the cloth a quiet depth that catches the light on the folds. Woven in 100% polyester and rated for Heavy Domestic use, it also carries a 40,000 Martindale rub test, making it a practical choice for everyday seating. Supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, it is a reassuring upholstery option for homes that need both tone and toughness. Professional dry clean in situ is recommended, with further care notes in the pattern book.

How to use it

Use this barley neutral on a sofa, armchair or banquette where you want warmth without heaviness. It pairs neatly with pale timber, chalk white and deeper cocoa accents for a layered, understated room.

A softly textured neutral that works beautifully on upholstered seating and calm, layered schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
