J Brown

Soulful Peacock

Soulful Peacock is a deep teal plain with a softly striated surface and a velvety, light-catching finish. Its moody peacock tone reads rich and dimensional rather than bright.

About this fabric

Part of the Soulful collection by J Brown, this fabric is made from 100% Recycled Polyester and is rated for Heavy Domestic use. The swatch shows a deep peacock teal with darker shadowed bands and a gently ribbed, almost brushed texture that gives the colour real depth. With a Martindale result of 40,000, it is well suited to hardworking seating while still keeping its plush, decorative look. It is supplied back coated to Cigarette & Match to BS5852, and professional in situ dry cleaning is advised.

How to use it

Use this peacock teal on an accent chair, sofa or banquette where its saturated colour can anchor the room. It pairs especially well with brass, walnut and pale stone for a dramatic but balanced scheme.

The rich teal depth and soft textural striation make this a striking choice for tailored seating or statement cushions.

Pairs well with

Soulful Peacock is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
