Dolphin
Santushti Carpet
Dolphin is a deep charcoal-grey textile with a densely worked, uneven surface. Fine horizontal ridges catch the light across the swatch, creating a quietly dimensional finish rather than a flat block of colour.

About this fabric
The colour moves between graphite, soft grey and near-black tonal patches, giving the surface a cool, smoky depth. Its close texture is formed from broken horizontal ridges, with irregular darker and lighter areas that resemble a subtly weathered woven ground. The dense, weighty-looking construction reads more naturally for upholstery than fluid drapery. No composition, width or rub-test specification has been supplied for this fabric.
How to use it
Use Dolphin on a structured armchair, sofa or footstool where its cool charcoal tone can anchor pale timber, chalky walls and brushed metal. Its irregular grey depth also works well as a restrained contrast to warmer taupe and natural textiles.
Use this cool charcoal texture to bring depth and a tailored, contemporary feel to upholstered seating.

Pairs well with
Dolphin is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
