Kirkby Design

Easel Tundra

Easel Tundra layers cool stone grey with chalky cream, deep blue and broken terracotta marks in a richly textured abstract weave. Its closely packed pattern has a painterly, energetic character without relying on a single dominant colour.

About this fabric

The colourway is anchored by a cool grey ground, threaded with charcoal and blue-grey depth that gives the surface a weathered, mineral quality. Irregular diagonal marks in muted terracotta, rust, cream and pale blue create the impression of layered brushwork across the cloth. The dense woven texture is visibly nubby and tactile, with small variations catching the light across the surface. The medium-scale pattern remains visually detailed at close range, making this a strong upholstery choice for adding depth without a flat block colour.

How to use it

Use Easel Tundra on an armchair, headboard or statement sofa where its cool grey base can settle larger forms while terracotta marks introduce warmth. Echo the rust and cream accents with plain cushions or combine it with charcoal, denim blue and natural timber for a layered, collected scheme.

A densely woven, textured upholstery design with cool grey depth and lively terracotta, blue and cream accents.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Easel Tundra without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
