Hackney Fabric

Hackney Sencha is a softly warm oat-beige textile with a restrained, plain-woven surface. Its fine crosshatched texture gives the colour gentle depth without introducing a visible motif.

About this fabric

The close, even weave is visible across the swatch as subtle vertical and horizontal threads, creating a lightly tactile finish. Sencha reads as a muted beige with a softly golden cast rather than a cool stone neutral, while the low-contrast surface keeps it calm and understated. The cloth has the balanced appearance of a fabric suited to both upholstery and drapery. No composition, width or rub-test data is supplied for this colourway.

How to use it

Use Hackney Sencha to warm an otherwise pale room, particularly on relaxed upholstery, roman blinds or full-length curtains. Pair its oat-beige tone with natural timber, chalky whites and deeper brown accents to draw out the weave.

Use this warm oat-beige weave to bring quiet texture to upholstery, curtains or layered neutral schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
