Hampstead Chalk

Hampstead Fabric

Hampstead Chalk is a pale, chalky cream textile with a quiet woven surface. Fine vertical shifts in tone keep the near-white ground from appearing completely flat.

About this fabric

This colourway sits close to a soft ivory, with a cool chalk cast rather than a strong yellow warmth. The close, even weave gives the surface a delicate grain, while faint vertical tonal movement adds subtle depth. No printed motif is visible in the swatch, leaving the restrained texture to define the design. Its light appearance brings an airy, understated quality to upholstered pieces, cushions, curtains or blinds.

How to use it

Use Hampstead Chalk to lighten a room with upholstered seating or full-height curtains, pairing its pale cream tone with natural timber, warm white and softly contrasting stone shades.

A softly textured chalk cream for bright, understated upholstery and window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
