Hampstead Abyss

Hampstead Fabric

Hampstead Abyss is a pale, cool blue-green fabric with a softly varied surface. Its fine horizontal weave gives the colour a gentle, lightly tactile character rather than a flat solid appearance.

About this fabric

The close-up shows a delicate woven texture running horizontally across the cloth, with subtle pale flecks that soften the blue-green ground. Abyss reads as an airy, desaturated shade, sitting between soft aqua and cool sea glass rather than a deep marine blue. The even weave appears versatile enough for upholstery or drapery based on the visible cloth, although no composition, width or rub-test specification has been supplied. Small tonal variations catch the light without forming a distinct printed motif.

How to use it

Use this cool blue-green on a relaxed occasional chair, headboard or full-length curtain, pairing it with chalky whites, pale timber and soft grey-blue accents. Its light, sea-glass tone is especially suited to calm coastal or contemporary rooms without introducing a strong statement colour.

A cool, quietly textured blue-green weave that brings a light, restful finish to upholstery or window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
