Motion Fabric

Motion Linen is a very pale ivory textile with a restrained, almost chalky presence. Its close-up surface shows a fine woven texture and faint tonal variation rather than a printed motif.

About this fabric

The colour sits between warm white and the palest cream, giving the swatch a clean but softly softened appearance. Fine vertical and horizontal threads create a delicate, understated weave that becomes more visible across the surface. There is no obvious repeat or decorative pattern, allowing the gentle tonal shifts within the ivory ground to provide its visual interest. The even, mid-weight-looking cloth makes this colourway suitable for both upholstery and drapery applications.

How to use it

Pair this pale ivory colourway with natural timber, warm stone and softly contrasting beige textiles for a light, calm room. On upholstery it will keep larger forms visually quiet; as drapery, its fine weave will add texture without introducing a strong pattern.

Use this pale ivory weave to brighten upholstery or soften curtains while retaining a subtle textile texture.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
