About this fabric
This colourway reads as true ebony: near-black, cool and low in contrast, with a quiet depth across the face of the cloth. Fine horizontal irregularities run through the dense-looking weave, giving the surface more character than a flat plain. The subdued texture is most apparent where light grazes the swatch, while shaded areas settle back into an almost solid black. No composition, width, rub-test or other performance specification is supplied for this colourway.
How to use it
Use Orion Ebony on tailored seating where a strong, near-black anchor is wanted, pairing it with pale stone, chalk or warm timber to bring out the subtle weave. Its restrained surface also suits dark, tonal interiors where texture rather than colour contrast provides the detail.
