Orion Iii Fabric

Orion III Shitake is a warm mushroom-taupe colourway with a softly shaded, closely woven surface. Its understated horizontal grain gives the plain ground gentle tactile depth without introducing a visible motif.

About this fabric

The colour sits between taupe and brown, with a muted warmth that reads softer than a deep chocolate or cool grey. Fine horizontal lines run across the dense-looking surface, creating restrained movement and a lightly brushed appearance as the light changes. This fabric is catalogued as a textile, but no composition, width, rub-test or other performance specification has been supplied for this exact colourway.

How to use it

Use Shitake to bring a warm, earthy calm to upholstered seating, headboards or full-length curtains. Its mushroom-brown tone pairs naturally with cream, aged timber, olive and soft stone shades.

A warm mushroom-taupe woven neutral with subtle horizontal texture for understated upholstery or drapery schemes.

Pairs well with

Orion Iii Shitake is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
