Orion Iii Ruby

Orion Iii Ruby is a richly saturated red textile with a dark, wine-like depth. Its close, understated weave gives the colour a softly textured appearance rather than a flat, uniform surface.

About this fabric

The swatch reads as deep ruby red, with darker burgundy undertones that give the colour considerable visual depth. Fine horizontal striations and gently varied threads create a restrained woven texture across the surface, with no visible printed motif. The dense-looking construction and strong colour presence make it well suited to upholstered furniture. No composition, width or rub-test data has been supplied for this exact colourway.

How to use it

Use Orion Iii Ruby on a statement armchair, sofa or dining seat where its dark red tone can anchor softer neutrals, smoked wood and warm metallic accents.

Use this deep ruby shade to bring richness and depth to upholstered seating, especially alongside charcoal, walnut and aged brass.

Pairs well with

Orion Iii Ruby is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
