Ion Sangria

Ion Fabric

Ion Sangria is a deep, wine-red textile with a quietly mottled surface rather than a printed motif. Across the swatch, darker and brighter red threads create a softly uneven, tactile appearance.

About this fabric

The colour sits between sangria and burgundy, with a rich red depth that becomes more varied where the woven texture catches the light. Its close, textile-like surface is visibly built from tonal marks and fine irregular striations, giving the plain design a gently weathered character. No composition, width, rub test or other performance specification has been supplied for this colourway. The absence of a repeating motif keeps the surface visually calm while the dense-looking texture prevents the red from appearing flat.

How to use it

Pair this warm, dark sangria red with aged timber, charcoal and brushed brass for a moody, tailored scheme. It can add concentrated colour to an upholstered chair or create fuller-looking curtains without introducing a separate pattern.

Use the deep sangria tone to bring warmth and visual depth to tailored seating, cushions or full-length curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
